On days where I don’t want to wear as much makeup as some
others, I try to limit how many products I use. So I’ve decided to show you the
5 products I will most likely use on these days.
I tend to skip foundation and use concealer instead. My favourite
concealer is the Collection Lasting Perfection and I use this every day for
school as it has amazing coverage and is very long lasting. It costs £4.19
which is a good price considering how long it lasts. I tend to go through one
of these tubes every 2 months or so. The one downside I have with this product
is that it can sometimes cakes between by eyebrows and around my nose if I don’t
use primer.
I always use powder as I like to have a matte finish
throughout the day. I use the Collection Sheer Loose Powder as it is very long
lasting. I can’t remember how much this was as I bought this over a year ago
haha. The one downside is that as it is a loose powder, it does have a tendency
to spill.
When I’m not in the mood to wear much makeup, I prefer to use
something simple for eyeshadow. I normally use the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in
Pink Gold, which is a gorgeous shimmery pink cream eyeshadow. It is really buildable
so you can have very natural eyes or you can build it up so the shade is more
intense. I believe the Colour Tattoos are £4.99 but they are often offer for
Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price or 3 for 2 in Superdrug and Boots.
When it comes to mascara, I like to use the Maybelline Lash
Sensational Mascara as it is a dupe for the Benefit Roller Lash. What I love
about this Mascara is the wand. It has quite a thick wand but it is perfectly
shaped for my eyelashes. It is £7.99 in most shops, but it is sometimes on
offer for around £5.99 I think. I don’t think I have any criticisms for this
mascara as it is just amazing.
My last
product I will tend to use on a day where I feel like wearing little makeup is
Benefit’s Posie Balm. This is a gorgeous poppy pink coloured, tinted lip balm
that is very buildable and moisturising. If I am going out for a long day out
or for an evening meal I will often use the Posie Tint also from Benefit to
intensify the colour. I think my favourite things about the balm are the colour
and how hydrating it is. This costs £14.50 and is the most expensive product in
this post but I can guarantee you, it is so worth the money!
Thank you all for reading my first blog post, I really
appreciate it J I know my
blog looks a bit bland at the moment but that is because I have only just made
it, and I’m yet to play around with the design and everything haha. If you
could leave some blog post ideas in the comments, I’d be super grateful as I would
like to post as much of what you would like to see as possible J Once again, thank you again for
reading and I hope you enjoyed it! See you next time, Alana x
